Bec Paton

Bec Patons musical knowledge and technical wizardry behind the turntables allow her to weave many different sounds into one intoxicating rhythm. Individual threads might touch on lush organic house or dub, grimy breakbeat and abstract hip hop, slamming drum’n’bass or electro; but the final fabric is undeniably imbued with the funk, a fact readily proven by her trail of devastation on dancefloors around the country.
She is versatile enough to rock festivals like Cockatoo Island (Sydney), This Is Not Art (Newcastle), Newtown Festival, Stonefest, and Skylounge (Canberra), she still sends chills down the spine at small parties like Frigid and Boogie Down, fundraisers for Vibewire and Amnesty, and her former weekly residency at @Newtown.
She was the 2006 Mercedes Fashion Week VIP DJ, mixed at the Reeldance event at the Sydney Opera House Studio, and has supported internationals including Kid Koala, Amon Tobin, Boom Bip, Mike Paradinis, The Streets, Nightmares On Wax, Dynamo Productions, Groove Armada, Electric Six and Spank Rock to name a few... She also has a show, Patent Pending, on Sydney’s 2SER on Monday lunchtimes.
It’s easy to get excited about Bec Paton because she is so obviously excited about the music herself. Even though every set is different and musically she’s continually moving, the sonic experiments, mood and texture are always inviting and never alienating.

Feisty
Feisty is one of Australia’s most popular tribal-tech house djs. It’s her original approach to tribal sound that has made her stand out. Sexy, hypnotic, hip-grinding rhythms and rolling baselines characterize the Feisty Sound.
Feisty has cemented her credentials in the Sydney dance scene with top notch residencies, most notably her four year stint with Crash @ Phoenix, an Oxford Street institution, as well as Queer Nation at Home (Australia's largest nightclub). With numerous special guest appearances including Mardi Gras, Sleaze, Gayday, WoofClub, The Sensual Ball, the world famous Hellfire Club and Homesexual at Home, as well as national touring for Tropical Fruits events, Crash, DV8 and ZIP.
Few DJs can play to a mixed crowd, a womens' event and then onto a men-only leather dance party all in one night. Feisty's appeal and ability to play to the room makes her one DJ who can!
If you believe in original mixing, style, journey and forethought into music and track selection of substance enhanced by a luscious sound quality, then you need to treat your ears to Feisty.

Beth Yen

British born, Beth Yen started collecting vinyls like a maniac at the tender age of 12. Her very first 12-inch was Michael Jackson’s ‘Billy Jean’, but then again, it was really the cover art that first got her into vinyls rather than the tunes! She didn’t fall in love with House music and the scene until she turned 17…who didn’t go clubbing underage? Seriously?
It wasn’t until the age of 20 that Beth Yen actually started spinning on other people’s decks. She'll never forget the first night she played: It all happened when a friend of mine passed out at an after party, then got kicked out even though he was supposed to be playing—and I just jumped behind the decks. Beth was hooked and started playing at numerous underground venues around North England.
Beth travelled for a while then landed in Oz, and after cruising around for a year fell in love with the place. "Even when it’s cold in winter the sun’s out."
"Sadly, I have a room full of vinyls back in England that are yet to be shipped here. I miss them dearly; an mp3 file DOES NOT COMPARE to the feel of a 12 inch…but then again, an mp3 doesn’t break my back!"
